Keyboard and Gamepad
Everything in TinePlayer is fully accessible without a mouse. And while a keyboard has more shortcuts, everything should be accessible with only a gamepad as well.
Navigating Menus
| Key | Gamepad | Does |
|---|---|---|
| Arrow keys | D-pad or left stick | Move around |
| Enter | A / Cross | Activate current selection |
| Esc | B / Circle | Back, or cancel |
| Tab | Shoulder buttons | Move between parts of the screen |
| Page Up / Page Down | Triggers | Jump a screenful at a time in a list |
| Home / End | - | Goto the first or last item in a list |
| Ctrl+O | - | Open the file browser to find a video file |
| Ctrl+L | - | Open a file by URL |
| Ctrl+, | - | Goto Settings |

In a long list, typing a letter jumps to the next item starting with that letter.
On macOS the shortcuts work with either Cmd or Ctrl.

Media keys
Play, pause, stop and skip on a keyboard, headset or remote work on Windows, macOS and Linux.
What is playing is also pushed to the system so the video appears with its title, poster, and position in the media panels each platform shows: the media flyout on Windows, Control Center and the lock screen on macOS.
Gamepads
Plug one in at any time and it should work right away without restarting TinePlayer. Xbox, PlayStation, and most generic controllers are recognized.
